Cambridge and Perse TKD students travelled to Stratford Apon
Avon today to compete at the Championships.
It was only a small team of 10 competitors, 3 adults and 7 Juniors (4 from the Perse and 3 from Cambridge TKD). We came away with a fantastic amount of trophies. But as great as it is that trophies were won, more importantly it was the taking part, growing our TKD confidence and experiences.
Judged all day we could see there was tough competition so they all did so well.
The overall results were 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze.
Very proud instructors indeed.
Fantastic training with Grand Masters, Master, peers and friends, see full article here 120TH IIC MANCHESTER July 2017

Fantastic results at the T-UK Trident Championships in Manchester. 7 Cambridge Taekwon-Do students travelled for the competition and came home with 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Tired but thrilled. Our youngest competitor, only 8 years old was thrilled to come home with a Gold for his pattern Chon Ji. Watch his delighted face as he tells us how he feels during a live feed shown on our public Facebook page.
Working now really hard for our next competition.
Great day in Stratford Upon Avon, going through importance of child safeguaring in the roles we play as instructors. This was then followed up with our instructor training ensuring consistancy in the style of training and setting high standards across all T-UK member clubs.
Took the opportunity too to interview one of our young athletes Miss Izzy Brider (III) and her father Mr Jeff Brider (IV) who are a great example of a family who've shared their Taekwon-Do journey yet have achieved very different things suited to their abilities. Both interviewer and interviewees were a tad on the nervous side as neigher party had done anything like this before. But you enjoy find it inspiring and enjoyable.

For the weekend of the 25th and 26th November myself, Mr Spiller and Mr Crisp joined a number of others from T-UK including the President Mr Archer and Vice President Mr Ridley in Paris, to attend the 114th International Instructors Course. We were very much looking forward to training again under Grandmasters and Masters in a room of amazing athleticism, skill and individuals with passion for the same art.
There were around 270 attendees from different parts of the world ranging from 1st Degree Balck Belts to 9th Degree Black Belts and from 18 years old upwards. It was an intense, fun, inspiring and educational weekend.
